Esther Loh was born in Malaysia and grew up in a town called Kajang. She started her pre-clinical years in International Medical University, Kuala Lumpur before completing the clinical years at Trinity College Dublin in 2006. Esther then worked in Ireland and was part of the Paediatrics training scheme which included Neonatology & General Paediatrics.

After getting married in 2008 to her beloved husband, Alvin whom was then based in England, they settled down at the outskirts of Bath. Bath was where Esther started and completed her GP vocational scheme training.
She has 2 lovely children during her training years & in 2015, obtained MRCGP (UK) qualification. Esther was working in different rotations such as Care of the Elderly, ENT, Cardiology, Obstetrics & Gynaecology. She also worked a few practices of various sizes in Somerset, the Southwest of England.

Her special interests are Child Health, Women Health & she covered Care of the Elderly wards at the local community hospital in Beckington, Somerset.

In early 2022, Esther and her family emigrated to Auckland to be closer to her parents and brothers. She is enjoying what New Zealand has to offer and likes working at Silverdale Medical Centre.

In her spare time, Esther loves travelling, spending time with her family and friends, staying active such as walking and Pilates. She loves baking, cooking and trying out different eateries. She plays the piano and danced ballet in her younger years, hence enjoys musicals, plays in a theatre and well directed drama or movies. She believes in being healthy physically, emotionally & mentally by having a well-balanced lifestyle, a positive outlook of life and being involved in a community.
